Celebrate AAPI Month with a hands-on journey into the Indian tradition of henna. Learn the history of Mehndi and try your hand at creating beautiful designs!
In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, join us for Hands of Heritage: A Henna Experience—a relaxing, creative, and culturally rich evening designed for adults 18 and up.
Discover the beauty and meaning behind Mehndi, the traditional Indian art of henna. We’ll explore its deep roots in Indian history, from ancient Ayurvedic uses to its role in weddings and festivals. Did you know? In Indian culture, the darker the henna stain, the deeper the love and luck it’s believed to bring!
Participants will get the chance to learn about henna’s cultural significance, practice designs using stencils on plastic sheets, and even try freehand techniques with a henna kit provided at the event. No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity!
Registration is required and spots are limited, so be sure to save yours today!
