Curious about your family history? Join us for a fun and informative session on how to uncover your roots using free genealogy websites.

Interested in learning more about your family history but not sure where to start—or how to do it without paying for subscriptions? Join us for All Free for the Finding: Digging Up Family History for Free on the Internet, a presentation led by Angi Porter from the Indiana State Library.

This program explores a variety of free online genealogy resources, including general research tools, Indiana-focused websites, immigrant genealogy resources, and historical newspaper collections. Attendees will also learn practical research tips to help make their family history search more organized and effective.

Whether you’re brand new to genealogy or looking to build on what you already know, this session provides useful guidance and take-home handouts to support your research.
